A break in the rain gave us
just the opportunity we've anticipated:
Time to plant some seeds.

Max and Alex chose cosmo, sunflower, zinnia, pea and cilantro, marigold and Sweet William seeds to plant all around the Treehouse. We made special places for the zinnias and cosmos among the lantana and mint. We planted the sunflower seeds along the long driveway, beneath the fruit trees. Max's cilantro seeds are in a flower pot, and the peas were planted around the branch hut they built with Tamsyn. Everything else will pop up here and there and everywhere. Maria sat in her stroller and watched us digging around and labeling the flower beds. The day was too beautiful to resist and even William came out to witness the clear, deep blue sky and gentle warmth of the shining sun. The plum and apple trees are already blooming...
