Pip-Pip-Pip BirdHouse Bits

Mister Foo loves wool roving. Loves it. We find clumps and tatters of it all over the house. Some pieces bigger than he is. Last night Max caught him dragging an entire bag across my office, making for his secret Bat-Cat lair! Does this mean I can blame the messy office on the cat? He never puts anything away!

Sew: I need an 80" x 80" fabric to back the Scratch and Peck quilt. The top is complete! I didn't want to shop for any materials, but this may call for getting my hands on a twin flat sheet. I also started a skirt for Maria, but I may be a bit out of practice... it looks odd. We'll have a fitting as soon as she's home. Dare I make a skirt for myself?

Yesterday we had a full house... full of family, full of laughter, full of food, full of good stories... old and new, and full of love. I cannot imagine a better way to pass the time. Thank you, Eunice, Delia, Beckie, Hans, Gretchen, Julie, Rebekah, Geoff, William, Alex, Max and Maria!

Can this really be the last day of school for Max? He's about to leave his freshman year of high school behind him, and though we welcome summer, I have to say... that wan't bad! Not bad at all. In fact, seeing Max in high school navigating a full schedule, a big school, many new and varied demands, it's been a pleasure. What a cool thing, that he managed it all so smoothly, with such diligence and a willing attitude. I love seeing him learn, and participate.
