Whoo

Every night we hear the whoo owls, sometimes three whoo owls.

Every morning I think: "I love those owls. I love our Bird House."

So, have I told you the story of how Amira calls us the badger family - because we live underground in our basement here in Grandma's house?

No, then I must not have told you yet how she whispers to me at bedtime tuck-ins her dream of becoming the bird family and living in a Bird House?

Cannot wait to hug you all soon!!!!

Darling Badgers, sweet, dear Badger Family. Geoff's grandmother sings the song of her alma mater, the UW Madison, to all of her great-grandchildren. Come be birds with us, any time. We are so excited about your visit. And someday, soon, I hope we will be Badgers with you.

~If you want to be a Badger,
Just come along with me,
By the bright shining light,
By the light of the moon;
If you want to be a Badger,
Just come along with me,
By the bright shining light of the moon.

By the light of the moon,
By the light of the moon,
By the bright shining light,
By the light of the moon;
If you want to be a Badger,
Just come along with me,
By the bright shining light of the moon.~

Wowza! Just listened to their mp3, to hear the tune. Awesome marching band version, very uptempo. Grandma sings it with a more chipper-lullaby tempo. Maybe we can write a Bird House theme!
