Teetering

Bravery, daring, success, balance... seems like there are days when I am teetering. And yet, then there are days when I am tottering. Perhaps there is a third, preferable, and yet elusive, state of being?

Perhaps there is. I would like to find it, too.

Ah, but how easy to overlook that while you strive and struggle for balance, you create a home that's filled with happy, loving, active, curious children who love being exactly where they are; that friends flock to you; that neighbors don't want to let too much time pass without stopping by to see what's happening; that you've created the very place where fun breaks out. So maybe that tension that you sometimes feel has something to do with the magic that's all around you....

Sir Robin lives a full, if fretful, existence.
I like to think I can just let him do all my fretting, for me.

Ah, thank you. I have noticed how much a teeter totter is like life... always adjusting and shifting to stay on course.

You.
Thank you.
(I want to be at least half as nice to myself as you have been to me... there's a lesson here)
