Here is a Goat

I looked up innocuous to be sure it means what I think it means, because I have reached a milestone in my life: Old Enough. I am old enough to do something seemingly innocuous and suddenly have my lower back seize up (mothers think: back labor). It is excruciating, and confounding.

in·noc·u·ous
/iˈnäkyo͞oəs/
Adjective
Not harmful or offensive.
Synonyms
innoxious - harmless - inoffensive - innocent

I am in the phase where I could bleat incessantly, and pitifully, like a goat, and I am indignant, because I have too-much-to-do to be sidelined by random, inexplicable pain. It radiates!

In other news, I am really happy The Fez chose Warren for the book giveaway. I was a teeny bit concerned about pulling out the name of a person less inclined to consider making a home for chickens. But Warren and Emily, and their two children, are DIY inspiration extraordinaire! Surprisingly, they don't have chickens, yet. They do keep bees, use a cider press, grow mushrooms, and are building a small cabin! Chickens would be happy living in the hills with this family! Looked up "extraordinaire," too. It's the right word.

ex·tra·or·di·naire
/ˌekstrəˌôrdnˈer/
Adjective
Outstanding or remarkable in a particular capacity: "memories of a gardener extraordinaire".

Now, I am going to shuffle around and try to make myself useful. I'll try not to do anything seemingly innocuous.

I am indignant about your back pain too. It isn't fair. I hope it goes away and you can do all the things you want to do.

Oh no! I did that once, except it was my shoulder and I couldn't lift my arm away from my body even a few inches. Miserable.

I'm sending love and healing-quick-mojo to you, Natalie! If you need anything or even if you don't... you know how to reach me. :)

Oh dear! Sore backs make everything more difficult. I hope you are taking it easy - maybe looking up the word "delegate" should be your next venture!

Here's a big (gentle) hug for you from me!

Roomie says it doesn't seem fair that our backs age a lot faster than the rest of us. How true!

I think it's time to redefine innocuous...though you correctly say 'seemingly innocuous'. Obviously it wasn't. Wheat bag, much love and relaxing thoughts. Hope it's something that goes away quickly. As for being 'old enough' - I am old enough to know better but rarely do!

I am feeling so much better!
It took a few days. The only
pain left is to my injured pride!
I can live with that!

Good mojo, Janece!
Thank you.

That was a good hug, thank you.
You are so right... I was hurting,
but the difficulties and frustration...
that really left me sore!

Indeed. Fast and sudden.
And humbling.

Ah, yes! Old enough to know better... oh, my!
I'm there, for certain, and it only makes it harder
when I mess up anyway. Thank you for those
relaxing thoughts. It really has, mostly, gone away...
but like Roomie says, "... our backs age a lot faster than the rest of us"
and mine is _gently_ reminding me of this every day, now.
