{this moment}

A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment.
A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Coop Scoop

This is where Geoff, William, and I spent the greater part of our day... Finishing the roof and painting the chicken coop for the school farm.  I won't brag about my painting skills, but hey!  Job done!  I think it could have been easier if we'd been doing the whole thing from scratch... Remodeling a coop has its own set of challenges.

A few more details need to be worked out, but this weekend, when the city garden tour comes through, they'll see three big beautiful hens at the farm.  Our girls are going to visit for the day and show everyone how happy chicas make a farm complete.  I think it will be Lilikoi, Mako, and Floppy Thompson being Chickenblog Ambassadors, earning their community service badges!

Now we are home, tackling laundry, still doing computer maintenance, helping Geoff ready for a visit to Wisconsin, and thinking:  We deserve a dinner out!

Horror Vacui... or Why I Couldn't Sleep In

Nature abhors a vacuum. Aristotle can explain... "{In a void,} no one could say why a thing once set in motion should stop anywhere; for why should it stop here rather than here? So that a thing will either be at rest or must be moved ad infinitum, unless something more powerful get in its way. Further, things are now thought to move into the void because it yields; but in a void this quality is present equally everywhere, so that things should move in all directions."

Well, I did yield a little bit, but cheese-wiz, I didn't think I'd lose all ground!

Maria and Mister Foo, doing best what nature commands, filling the vacuum. I suppose this makes me the thing not resting, but moving ad infinitum!

Five Good Things

Good Things...

1.  Spring break, work break... Any time spent recharging, doing something different.

2.   Chickens running... captured on high speed camera, shared with friends.

3.  Watching Cosmos, rewinding, pausing, discussing, and absorbing.

4.  Watering fruit trees, and appreciating their beauty.

5.  Me, getting Geoff's car to start, when he couldn't.  {might be the day to buy a lotto ticket, too}

What's good?
