Pink Profusion :: Ninety

These are them! The roses I love! We were walking all over Balboa Island, seeing lots of gorgeous, beautifully scented roses, amazing homes, all varieties of boats and watercraft... great sightseeing stuff, when we turned the corner and I exclaimed, "Cecile Brunner! They are almost never out of bloom, and are easy to maintain," I explained to my walking companions, Geoff, Max and Maria. Then I told Maria about drying the tiny buds, how well they preserve. We sniffed blossoms, draping over picket fences for almost an entire block.

With Infinity More Monkeys, a picture a day.

It's a sign. Go to the nursery and buy a plant now.

That's lovely - and an idyllic spot. I think Tracy is right - it must be a sign to add your own Cecile Brunner roses to the Bird House. :)

Haha! The slightest nudge, and you ladies have me off and running!
I have two nurseries in mind... hopefully one of them will have our rose. I hope this doesn't become a *gateway* project... first the roses, but then where to put them, and oh, we need an arbor, but that requires pouring some cement, and as long as we're mixing cement, maybe we should (finally) build that swingset I've ben coveting since 1973!

I love Balboa Island. It's where I had my first taste of cornmeal pancakes. Never heard of them until I visited friends there. Do you make them?

Those are amazing roses - do they even have cushions to match, in the background? I think Balboa Island is going onto my wishlist of places to see!
