Oh, those last moments, those thresholds, those "finished with this for always, and onto this unimaginably big step into the future and growing-up-ness." We know, we know, how precious, how important, how irrevocable -- the march forward (really, the damned sprint forward) that is the passage of time and life. What I find myself smiling about here, that's inherent in your post that I don't think you are seeing or feeling, is that it's exactly because you've always honored your "flowers now would be a really good idea!" moments that you have indeed made the most of every moment! Having more plans than you can execute doesn't diminish the many, many, spontaneous moments of joy that you've embraced every single step of the way.
