My parents were both born and raised in LA, but it's a stranger to me, though I lived in nearby Long Beach for 30 years, I feel most at home here in San Diego County where I was born and raised and to which I have now returned. Those beautiful childhood memories we have are wonderful to relive when they come back to us so strongly. I hope you have many more occasions to enjoy them with your remaining LA relatives. And all the best to your aunt and grandmother as they move on to another chapter in their lives.Sara at Come Away With Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07677354270954094291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3534240.post-50859164936722569452014-05-12T15:11:13.013-07:002014-05-12T15:11:13.013-07:00When my mother grew older, stopped driving, and lo...When my mother grew older, stopped driving, and lost a dear friend, she felt a bit isolated. So she sold her big house and moved up North a few blocks from my brother so she could watch her little grandson grow up. It was the best decision she ever made. She found two new best friends (with cars!) and the three of them were inseparable, going on adventures together and exploring the area. So even though I missed having her live near me, those last 10 years of her life were some of the happiest for her. For whatever reason Aunt Becky and Grandmother Eunice are moving away, new friends, adventures and memories await them.

ZanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3534240.post-63759167559691950712014-05-12T06:28:56.534-07:002014-05-12T06:28:56.534-07:001.
