She's a beauty. A Cochin beauty. As for her name... well, that is a good question. Alex was house sitting for friends... friends with hens, obviously. We know they were Ozzie, Jordy, Dot and Nugget, but we didn't know which name went with which hen. I wish I took pictures of each of them. There was an Australorp, the Cochin, a Silkie, and a Rhode Island Red. I am going to play a game with myself... I'll take a guess at matching them up with their names. Ozzie: Australorp Jordy: Cochin Dot: Silky Rhodie: Nugget
I should add: Maria was thoroughly delighted to be Alex's assistant, eager to tend to every pet, and check off each chore, including tucking hens in for the night.
