Love looks like a blossom, green leaves, a weathered stump, like a rambling garden, a bit gone to seed. A garden for the birds, where managing weeds is done by the chickens and goats, and one is delighted by whatever pops up.
I love those leaves! They look like land-bound lily pads! And the weathered stump... swoon. I love the textures and patterns made by the cracks and weathering!
I am sure we could get nasturtiums going in your garden, too... in fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find them there already! They do look like lily pads... can't you see our girls playing fairies, and such, with their dolls in the flowers?
Sorry. I know you are living with some frustrating limitations. I wonder if you could plant a half barrel where they took out that shrub? A lot of "garden" can fit in those barrels.
Nasturtiums are edible for humans, too. I'm sure you know that already. I've never actually tried them, but they do look pretty on a salad. Chickens get excited over the smallest things!

ReplyDeleteGarden? I have a garden. ;) No, sadly, I don't. But, I'd like to work towards one.
DeleteAnd yes, I can see our girls doing just that! Makes me smile to think of it!...

DeleteOh! I like that idea! I'd love to do some 1/2 barrels... I've got several spots. Mind racing with ideas and plottings... ;)
DeleteGarden buzz... super!

ReplyDeleteThey are... and I wish I could say "I like their flavor." My children used to eat them, but I find them too peppery... a bit like a radish.
