Today... I cleared out the alcove-closet where holiday decorations just magically accumulate and get dusty and scary. We are thinking of what to do to make this room not scary, and not so difficult to access and maintain. Then I folded a metric butt ton of white socks. And then I emptied our freezer (the fridge got emptied a few days ago,) because! Our refrigerator is dead, again. And don't ask... I have lost count of the number of times it's failed. A part is on order, and yes, we have considered just buying a new one. Also, I began the process of retaining a civil attorney for the drunkladydriver issue, but should I be concerned if he said he would email me the contract today, and it still hasn't come in? And, another topic, if anyone is still wondering... yes, he is a racist, and I can't even consider him a legitimately elected POTUS. (As long as I am managing annoying and tedious things, I thought I'd throw that in.)

Ok... well, I just joined Ravelry, and last week it was LinkedIn. So. Uhm. Yeah... I am going through a "growth" spurt, and it hurts. These things are so challenging to me, for some reason. Before I admit that I am questioning the need or purpose of any of this, I actually think I should take all of this one step further and make some goals for myself. So, if you see me and I look glazed and perplexed, I am probably only thinking about my goals.

I need a photograph of myself for an application, and I've scrolled back more than a year and haven't found a picture of me that isn't a selfie with cats, chickens, goats, children or something weird on my head. There are five pictures of me standing in a wide open field, in Door County, when I asked Geoff to take my picture, because I liked the derelict barn in the distance, but my face is in a shadow, and the vast emptiness of the scene makes it look like a movie poster for something earnest, but terribly dull.

I don't feel very good about this.
