Joyful Hands

Hands. Beautiful hands, each with 5 fingers. Her fingers grasp and grab, cling and grip. She rakes her hands across surfaces, and between her fingers she collects deposits of lint. Last night she reached for the pages of her new book, Hug, patted the pictures, then clasped her hands together, pleased, content. Creation, and caresses, tender touches and joyful expression, work and play, prayer, comfort and rest; we have many hopes for these hands

Hmm, Natalie, I am thinking of your Papaya and your boys, and wondering, gosh, do your kids look like their mama at all? ;) Only like little carbon copies, I think.

A beautiful bunch, all! I'm sure daddy's genes are in there somewhere, threading them all together, maybe with the same fingers and toes...they are all gorgeous and look happy and healthy!
