Beach Break
The beach break was an unexpected outing for me. I dropped Maria off for a beach clean-up with Japanese National Honor Society. Bucket. Extension grabber. Gloves. Flip flops. I figured on driving home, to ignore laundry, and lose track of time, until she called for a pick-up! But on my way out a parking space opened up, a spot too good to pass up. So, I went for it! And walked up and down Moonlight, observing birds, turning stones, rescuing a bee, watching surfers, and just generally breathing easy, smiling, feeling good.
There were a few groups out, cleaning up, and knowing that this is something our community does feels good, too.

I love that your community does cleanup! Beautiful photos!
Time well spent. Lovely photos - makes me homesick for "my" beach. Funny to see the differences and similarities between the two. I think I have a bird footprint photo almost identical to yours! X
It's great that karma gave you a parking space so that you could take all the beautiful Moonlight Beach pictures.
It really is a nice thing, those beach clean-ups, and I am sad to say... much needed! I am a bit shocked at what beach goers will leave behind, from toys to pure rubbish. It's really disappointing. But "look for the helpers;" I like to remember that anecdote from Fred Rogers.
Amelia, maybe someday you and I will visit each other's beaches! I like to imagine shared adventures with the friends I make here!
Wasn't I lucky? I should probably try my parking luck more often, because these little outings are really uplifting!
Yes. I imagine we'd enjoy that rather a lot! X
Really wonderful photos, Natalie! Your selfie was an instant add to our digital frame. You are loved!!
