A Small Pity Party Before I Clean the Whole Housei

First there is the blemish pimple on the bridge of my nose: It is obscuring my peripheral vision. It's like seeing a mountain in my side view... Mount Pimpleous. It's so big, and encroaching, it need its own zit code!

Second... we seem to have a bird. Which is... hmmm... not what we planned, but Steve has so firmly endeared himself, that I cannot think of turning him away. So, we need to equip ourselves and find a place safe from drafts and cats where we can hang a cage. Then I need to resign myself to cleaning another house, and feeding another mouth a beak.

Third. Well, I am just feeling my regular cycle of gosh, I really, really loathe not having our own house and all the related emotions and frustrations that go with it. Same ol', same ol'. At least our landlord recently declared us his "favorite tenants ever!" He hasn't seen the carpets, obviously.

OKay. It's time to pick myself, dust myself off and start all over again.

  1. Oh, looks like we are both in mini pity parties today. My list... 1) I broke a tooth. It's horrible. 2) there is still so much to do to get the house ready. I'm lacking motivation and enthusiasm... I feel like a 3 yr old dragging her feet. And 3) I feel a little sick or maybe my mood is making me feel sick... I don't know.

Okay... my turn to pick myself up, dust myself off and start all over again. :)

Sending you lots of love, warm thoughts and good cheer!

  2. Well, your pity party has plenty of merit. I am so sorry about your tooth. Really, it does sound horrible. Staging a house for sale is the pits... so much effort for what amounts to letting go. I'm sorry about this too. Believe me, I know your pain. It does not surprise me you feel sick. Be kind to yourself and I will be keeping you in my prayers.

  3. I just got the news about my older sister's liver biopsy results and she doesn't have cancer but has developed cirrhosis, apparently from her gallbladder removal and dirty, backed up bile ducts. she has never been a drinker. It is the 3rd leading cause of death in America. I am just sad. Must carry on though. Thats the hard part, isn't it? Steve looks sweet- someday I'll tell you my bird stories. Right now, I just don't have the energy- must mail cupcakes and wash dog and clean casa chaos.....love to you and family-

  4. Adult acne...it's sooo unfair isn't it? I think after 20, we should no longer ever have pimples/acne! I have acne worse now than when I was a teenager *sigh* Your keeping Steve?! Oh, I am glad...Although, yes, it is one more mouth to fee ;o) I'm singing along with you as you dust yourself off and start all over again! Hope all of you have a good weekend ((HUGS))

  5. Your bird is adorable. I'm super into birds right now for graphics on quilts, shirts, anything that stands still long enough for me to draw on it. Very cool. Don't worry about your house, I know you'll find a solution to that. You and your beautiful family deserve it.

  6. Could Steve turn out to be the teeny, tiny bird of happiness and good fortune? I hope so. Wouldn't life be a lot easier without the "down cycles?" Or is that what it takes for us to cherish the better times? (To heck with that -- just on with the good already!)
