Maria, in first grade, has been learning about emigrants, and her own family heritage. As a final project all the children made family trees, and a box decorated to reflect *where they are from* and their family's cultural traditions. In the box are some treasures she's collected from Holland, Spain, Mexico, California and Wisconsin.
Thank you for asking about Maria's box... I am very proud of the initiative she took in making it all by herself.
Maria looks beautiful, as always. I love all the different shades of blue in this pic. Navy blue, royal blue, aquamarine, turquoise, periwinkle, cyan, cobalt...am I missing any????

Love that little face. So many shades of blue inspired me to get dig out my Joni Mitchell Blue DVD. Great stuff.
