Thank you for the photo-love.
I was so delighted to have this handsome fellow trust me enough to get this close. I had my pocket camera, so I didn't have any telephoto advantages to work with. But, gosh... he is so beautiful, my part was easy!
Peacocks are so so beautiful..... but any I've been close to were rather noisy and smelly! I much prefer to look at them like this :D
Hope you're having a great weekend, Sarah x

They have a unique cry, yes? And very loud. Interestingly, while there are at least a hundred peacocks in this ten acre park, where they are wild and free to come and go as they please, the only one we heard was a hen who had a soft and plaintive coo. The males were surprisingly quiet. But maybe at other times of the day and night they get more vocal. And smell? I can understand why there could be a big stink, but things were fresh and clear! Either they make their mess in a designated area, or the groundskeepers are phenomenal, because there was zero mess or stink. Lucky for us, we had nothing to enjoy but the beauty of those birds!
