Barn Doors, Roofing, and Celebration!

Evidently, building a little barn causes bigger and more frequent spring showers. It seems like stormy weather has stopped progress on this project at least once a week... or at least every time Geoff has had free time. Still, between down pours and wind gusts, Geoff and William have accomplished quite a bit.

I see blue sky. Could this be a barn work day? I think so. Maybe the doors will be hung, maybe the roof paper rolled out. Hold on... what about our barn party? The spring showers have put a damper on those plans, too. Maybe this is our day, before the roof is finished. Time to hang a wreath from the roof beam... and... gosh, how else is a barn warmed and welcomed? I am new to these sorts of celebrations. Maybe we need to improvise. Guacamole? Oatmeal cookies, music, and friends? Yes. Yes, I think we can make something of this, and enjoy a right, proper barn party.

Guacamole, oatmeal cookies, friends, music... sounds perfect! Will the animals be participating in the barn warming too?

Good point, Judy... let's just call it an Open Barn party, and let the chicas and goats come and go, as they please! Hmmm... I think I will provide them with their own appetizers, though. I'm not keen on sharing my guac with chickens and goats, just friends!

Food always makes the party! A couple mason jars with flowers, a red and white picnic table cloth and voila, barn party! Ha ha
