A new character came to life last night when Maria was drawing. She calls her
Jane. And the chicken is
Betty. We don't know Jane's friend's name, nor the name of her cat.
"Maybe you can help?" suggests Maria.

Beautiful sketches - those characters are wonderful. I think Jane's friend is called Matilda and the cat's name is Smitten - not sure why, other than it rhymes with kitten!!! Keep up that drawing - you're very talented. My son never stopped drawing when he was young and now he's an animator and does it all day - and gets paid!!!
Jane's friend's name is Sophiya, and the cat is named Henbane. There was a particularly tense situation between our chicken friend and said chicken the first time they met. Upon reflection Jane and Henbane have decided to be cordial to each other. Shopping together is rather out of the question, after the incident, but they do rather enjoy each other's company during the holidays.
