Can You Give a Lady Some Help?

I'm looking you in the eyes, and asking for your help.

Recently a couple of readers have brought some things to my attention about Chcike Chickenblog: #1. They cannot comment, and #2. They have trouble loading pages, seeing content.

I have been to the Google help page, and to Blogger's page about known problems, and I have tinkered around with settings, but I cannot seem to make any headway, or even see the issues for myself. From here, everything seems to be okay, but that's not helpful, is it? And of course the very people having troubles with Chcike Chcieknblog... oy with C h i c k e n b l o g have probably given up and flown the coop.

Figuring out the core of the issue, whether it's Google/Blogger, or the way I have things set up, or ______________... this is not easy.

Calling all blogging pros, and Google Masters, calling all Geeks: what can be wrong? How can I make Chickenblog accessible, convenient, shiny, good, tasty?

Thank you. Have a beautiful day.

Sincerely,

Lady Betty Orpington, and her beleaguered assistant, Natalie, the Chcikenblogger Chickenblogger

  1. I used to have quite a bit of online/back-end/coding geek cred, I really did. But, after Amira's birth, it was all but faded completely away. I wish I could help, I really do! Good luck! ChickenBlog is the best and must be accessible to all!! ;)

  2. Have you tried using the Blogger in Draft program? That might help a little bit... Otherwise IDK what to help you with :(

  3. I think this is an easy one, I have no problems leaving a comment or anything else that stops me from being thrilled by your entry's, so I think the issue is not with you, it may well be with some of your audience.

  4. Dear Lady Betty,
Apologies that this is Not A Helpful Comment, but I have not been having problems...I am trying hard not to apologise further but your great feathered presence makes me a little flustered. I had noticed a lack of usual commenters around me so clearly some are having problems.
I sincerely hope a solution presents itself soon.

    Humbly yours,
    Annie xx

    1. In fact, I owe YOU some comments.
Congratulations on your first experience with FIRST!
I am thrilled for you, especially since you say it was such a
good experience. I hope you can find your way to an FRC: FIRST Robotics Competition. Part rock concert, part sporting event, and 100% learning inspiration.

  6. Well, I'm of no help in the geek department. Just wanted to report that on my Mac running Firefox, I don't have any problems with your posts. Sometimes it's challenging to get my comments to work (never works with OpenID, but works okay with name/URL), but usually everything works swimmingly. Best wishes for your search for solutions!

  7. I haven't noticed any problems either reading or commenting on Chickenblog. I wish I could be of some help, but I don't understand how Blogger works myself. I hope you do find someone to help!

  8. HA!
It happened to me! There was no comment field or option. I hit refresh, and voila! It appeared.

Well, I wanted to thank all of you for your feedback. You may think you aren't helping, but you are. It helps even to know that at least some of you are not having problems, and that's good. I will continue to see what I can figure out.

    In the meantime: Thank You!!
