I love your list... and love your counting too! I had to do an OMG when I read your Pi'i Mai Ka Nalu! I LOVE that song, and had I been not so bound by the 8's, I would have listed Robi Kahakalau's Keiki O Ka 'Aina. Ahhhhh Sistah Robi - I do so love her!

PS... live your chicken dream! We had chickens in "the city". You'd be surprised what's allowed in city limits. Though we think we were allowed three (we never officially checked) - but had six at one time. Go figure... now we live in the country - and have no chickens. That needs to be fixed!

OK, maybe you can't count, but you made me laugh! :-)

Thanks for the tag! If I don't do this now, I'll forget, and I'm only doing the 8 things to do before I die. 1. Live healthy to 100. 2. Spoil my grandchildren (heh heh). 3. Backpack in the Sierras with girlfriends. 4. Sing that high G pretty and loud. 5. Cook with girlfriends for a huge number of people who are serving others. 6. Hike in the Swiss alps and hear music in Vienna. 7. Make another quilt. 8. Eat a lot of spicy foods, not just one spicy food, a LOT of spicy foods.

Your list is WONDERFUL, Natalie! Dork? I don't think so! Guess that means we're all dorks then! ;o) Your lists reflect the thoughtful, sensitive, kind, fun, mulit-faceted individual you are. ((HUGS))

Who took the incredible picture of you and Maria? I'm delighted that you're making good on being photographed, rather than being always the photographer. I love that you seem to be able, so simply, to reveal so much of yourself in such straightforward lists (math is not one of my own strengths, so there you go). So I am right in thinking that you meant me, to list along?

We are SO sisters Natalie. Separated by half a world.

I accept the tag - but it will have to wait until tomorrow now.

Love the photo of you and Maria. Big hug O

Natalie--I enjoyed reading your lists. I read Animal Vegetable Miracle this past year & it really affected my thinking about what I cook & eat. I can't wait for the farmer's market to resume in the spring. Thanks for reminding me of it!

Ah lists. YOu know I love a good list. Your lists here are inspirational. Ps is "Mother of Pearl" a semi-bad word?

Nat -

Enjoy the 'window' into your home and life. Just thought it was appropriate to comment on how much I appreciate your photos, not just because they offer us a glimpse of your world in Cali, but because more often they are genuinely compelling from a photographic standpoint; composition, light, color, etc. It is clear that you ARE passionate about your photography...it shows. We have that in common. Keep on shooting from the hip and the heart - you inspire many.

With love,

Gil

Well, Gil beat me to it. I was also impressed with your photography and the time you take photograph and write from your heart. I am inspired to do my own list. A little self-reflection. Thanks for the kick-start.

Love,

Marcia
