Somewhere Out There :: One Hundred Seventy Eight

Today's picture is from the beginning of our explore of the farm land somewhere in southwest Wisconsin. A place between the Earth and the sky, by trees and prairie flowers.

Everywhere we go, our loved ones are on our minds and we say, Wish you were here. We carry you with us, think...
What if we lived here, cats, chickens, and goats, our friends, our family? What if we shared the same lane, saw the same views? Anywhere we go, inevitably it's the same... We wish we were home, or that home were here, too.

There's more down the road. We are eager to explore, to collect moments and pictures and experiences, and we are eager to bring it all home, to recall and say, We were there, and we wish you were with us~

Thank you! It was not fennel. It may have been "wild parsnips," in which case I may have made a serious mistake when I snapped off a piece to investigate it further. It was growing absolutely everywhere, and reminded me so much of celery (the immature stalk, before it flowers) I pulled off a piece and smelled it. Not celery, but I loved the fragrance. It left my hands smelling a bit spicy, mildly sweet. But then Georgia sent me a link about the dangers of "poison parsnip." Oh, my gosh... it's crazy to see what this pretty, and prevalent plant can do!! I feel fortunate that it did not bother me, but I won't be picking any more. This is the link Georgia shared: http://www.kcci.com/news/iowa-victim-suffers-painful-effects-of-poisonous-weed/40269016

Thank you... it wasn't hard to take beautiful pictures, here!
We found a farmhouse to stay at with 174 acres to explore, through Airbnb. It made for a fun experience.
